This blog is a journal of my thoughts on technology, life as a Microsoft Small Business Specialist and life in general. I have no particular agenda other than to record my thoughts and occasionally to promote my business, although I mainly do that on a seperate blog.
The name Electric Dreams comes from the 1980s movie of the same name, a slightly sentimental and whimsical film about a menage-a-trois between the main characters Miles, an architect; Madeleine, a concert cellist; and Edgar, a personal computer. The film captures a time when personal computers were relatively new and mysterious and people thought all sorts of crazy things about them. The computer initially becomes jealous of Miles' relationship with Madeleine but in the end makes the ultimate sacrifice so his friends can be happy together. The title track, "Together in Electric Dreams" by Phil Oakey and Giorgio Moroder has always been one of my favourites.
